What are the ingredients in Zit Zapper?

Our Zit Zapper is made out of Hydrocolloid, a gel-like substance commonly used in the medical industry to treat wounds and open cuts. Hydrocolloid can be made out of a variety of materials, however our hydrocolloid contains carboxymethyl cellulose, a plant-derived ingredient.

What exactly is hydrocolloid? Is it proven to work?

Hydrocolloids work on the acne blemish by creating a protective seal over the skin, while absorbing excess fluid such as oil and pus, flattening spots faster and reducing inflammation/skin redness. They are also commonly used in the medical industry to cover and protect wounds from bacterial infection. Many doctors and dermatologists highly recommend hydrocolloid and give it a big thumbs up for calming acne breakouts.

I have sensitive skin. Will Zit Zapper and I get along?

Yes! Zit Zapper is sensitive skin friendly, however if you do notice any redness, irritaiton or itchiness discontinue use.

Is Zit Zapper safe for all ages? Even kids?

Yes! Zit Zapper is friendly for all ages, although we don’t suggest letting babies or young children handle them as a choking hazard precaution.

Is Zit Zapper safe to use if I am pregnant or nursing?

Yes! Zit Zapper is safe to use while pregnant or breastfeeding.

Can I cut the patch into smaller shapes?

Yes! If you prefer to cover a smaller surface area feel free to cut our patches into a desired shape.

Where in my skincare routine do I use my Zit Zapper?

Zit Zapper should be applied on a post-cleansed face. We recommend putting on the patches before bed since they need to be worn for at least 6 hours to work but you’re welcome to wear them at any time of the day!

How often can I use my Zit Zapper?

We only recommend using Zit Zapper up to 2-3 times a week on the same spot as overuse of the patches can lead to dryness.

How long should I wear my Zit Zapper?

Zit Zapper should be left on for a minimum of 6 hours to work effectively.

Can I use the same patch twice?

Since the patch absorbs oil, sebum, bacteria, and pus, they should be discarded and not used more than once.

Does Zit Zapper have an expiration date?

Although the patches last years, they do have an expiration date. Check the patch inserts!

Is Fazit vegan?

Yes! Although many hydrocolloid are made of gelatin and not vegan, ours is made of carboxymethyl cellulose, a plant-derived ingredient.

What about animal testing?

No animal testing has been conducted on our products.

What if I get a rash?

Although rare, it is possible to be allergic to the adhesive in our patches. It is always smart to patch test an area on your arm before applying the patch directly to your face. If you do experience any kind of rash, discontinue use immediately. If the patch persists, seek advise from a dermatologist.
